To check in for a domestic flight, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico you need following travel documents depending on your status.
United States citizens:

To check in for an international flight, you need:
Passport and the visa for the destination country, depending on individual country regulations.
Please be aware! The following documents are not acceptable for entry or departure from the United States by air:
- Citizenship Certificate (or Card)
- Naturalization Certificate
- National Identification Card
